How It Works
Edge Glaze is living innovation in architectural glass. A PDLC (Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal) film is laminated between two panes of toughened glass with EVA interlayers and wired to a discreet low voltage supply. With no power running, the glass rests private and frosted. Apply a low voltage current and it turns clear and fully see-through in an instant, controlled by a switch, remote, app or building automation. The change takes milliseconds, with nothing to draw by hand and nothing to maintain.
Power Off, Private
With no power applied, the liquid crystals scatter light, so the glass rests opaque and private. This is the default resting state, and it doubles as a projection surface.
Power On, Clear
Apply power and the crystals align, letting light pass, so the glass turns clear and see-through at once. Switch it back to private just as fast.
Advantages
In real spaces
The same room, switching by itself. This is exactly what your space does at the flick of a switch.
Clear to private, automatically
